On this project, the client was attracted to the under-the-radar style we did on the blue ICON Bronco Reformer, but he was a "Chevy guy". So, we took the same approach with this 1969 K5 Blazer. This vehicle retains the stock body and chassis structures, with enhanced Fox Racing equipped suspension system. Four wheel disc brakes on Dynatrac Dana 60 axles, with hydroboost assisted four wheel disc brakes. The 420 H.P. GM Erod LS2 delivers responsible power and reduced emissions to the 4L80E ¾ ton transmission and Atlas II part-time 4x4 transfer case.
On the inside, fine Italian leather and wool rugs over a Line-X coated floor. Custom gauges and climate control integrated into a very stock appearing dashboard design. Integrated roll bar provides three-point belts for all. Custom console integrates the audio system. Custom cargo panels, brushed nickel plated trim, and a billion more details separate this K5 from the rest.

Stout and simple. Custom truss steel front bumper, ghost tinted side markers, stronger stance and other details set this truck apart.
Stock in the front, except for the bumper, enhanced headlights, and nickel plated grill with black inserts and body color lower section.
By painting the lower portion of the grill in the body color, it really helps the flow...
Subtle ICON badges were inspired by the original Blazer font, executed in stainless steel.
Again, the stock mirror is enhanced simply by nickel plating with a brushed finish.
The suspension system was redesigned with sway bars, custom leafs and Fox Racing shocks and stabilizer.
Soft gray tinted windows, deleted stock body trim...
The heart of this beast is now the GM Erod 6.2 LS Erod aluminum fuel injected V8. This engine puts out 420 H.P., and reduces the emissions by 50% (over the stock system).
Tons of cargo room. Sound proofing and finish panels enhance the experience well beyond stock. Full roll bar system.
The leather wrapped aluminum cargo panels not only add some finish quality detail, but allow us to sandwich layers of sound deadeners, and also to incorporate modern audio system components, power ports and LED lights.
Stock inspired door panels and arm rests are hand finished and wrapped in fine Italian leathers.
This panel is designed to look original, but it is now back-lit, and controls a far more effective modern climate control system.
Again, designed to look stock, but subtly more bespoke and functional than original.
A roomy cabin with tons of headroom.
Evolved front seats now provide headrests and more ergonomic adjustment points. Carbon fiber seat heaters integrated as well.
The rear seat is still stock, simply restored and recovered in finer materials.
This detail shot shows the stitch design used on the interior leathers, for durability and design value.
