This is a unique project, even by ICON standards. We are here to realize very specific and personal transportation dreams. This client had personal history with this ex-cop car, and a very clear vision for a slealth freeway flyer with evolved details and enhanced utility. While working on a plastic intensive 1990's American car was a challenge, it is one we willingly accepted!
An unassuming and highly capable car.
It basically says "Get the hell outta my lane!"
Tons of bespoke details, most of which you may not even notice without further study.
430HP GM emissions certified Erod LS3, with a GM six speed automatic transmission.
Custom information center and traditional gauges replace the stock components.
Lighter, faster, more fuel efficient, easier to service. Perfect.
No stone unturned. Fully powder coated chassis hosts a ton of upgrades.
All business. "Just the facts sir..."
Built to be an interstate freeway flyer. Extensive sound deadener products used throughout. Fully ceramic coated dual exhaust.
Recaro heated and vented power seats, Wilton wool rugs, top grain Italian leather everywhere, Alcantara headliner...
Stock rear seat, restyled and leather wrapped to work in chorus with the Recaro front seats.
Custom designed control center console, with heated/cooled cup holders, touch buttons for controlling the SAT link, lighting, transmission manual mode and much more.
Exterior trim laser scanned, and then redesigned in CAD, and finally CNC'ed in aluminum.
Ditto with the hood ornament. No longer plastic!
Same for the trunk trim and lock cylinder.
Gone are the plastic door handles. Subtle redesign and now crafted in anodized aluminum.
Our custom aluminum wheels are styled to look like the original steel wheels, but are larger and lighter to host the performance Baer brakes and ZR rated tires.
The trunk is set up with tons of client requested gear ranging from a Snap-on tool kit, power inverters, emergency kit, refrigerator and more.
Remarkably smooth and powerful, with no fuss!
Fully modified suspension holds the road far better, and improves the stance. Note the beautifully crafted exhaust system that snakes its way to the rear.
